Y'all are invited!

Today marks the first anniversary of my 40th birthday!

Please, join me for some cake, won't you?

Or maybe you prefer cheesecake:

Perhaps pound cake is your passion . . .

But I would sell my children for mere trace of this--the most divine birthday cake ever crafted by mortal hands . . .

(Thank you, Clarice!)

And on that note, please join me in a rousing chorus of song! Not the birthday song though. How 'bout a song that never fails to bring a smile to my face.

Sing on, people! And happy Kristin-is-41-Day : )

Awww--thanks, guys! I had a lovely day and your well wishes were definitely part of the fun!

I must say, however, that I'm *offended* at your disgust regarding the photo of me in the bikini sipping a drink . . . I've been working out and I *finally* fit that bikini!

The divine dessert is chocolate pate with grand marnier anglaise. It tasted like heaven--seriously!
