I'm so easily obssessed with new projects

Since my newest fixation is running, I took the liberty of e-mailing an experienced runner to ask a number of questions. He took the time to write me back and gave me lots of great information. But the most important thing I took from his advice was this:

It's okay to come back from a good workout and eat cookie dough.

I'm paraphrasing a little, but I'm pretty sure that was his basic message . . .

I've done it before. Yes, it's perfectly acceptable. There does come a day, though, when you'll really feel like crapola for doing it b/c of all the hard work you put in. Don't be surprised. Running can be just as addictive as cookie dough.

And how much have you eaten this weekend?

Maddy and Geggie--are y'all doubting me? I am so hurt! ; )

Hey Kate--I'm not sure about running being *as* addictive as cookie dough, but I am starting to look forward to it. Not for the drudgery of it, but for the challenge of reaching goals.

Um, Jennifer? I haven't eaten any more cookie dough than a normal person would on a given weekend. For breakfast, lunch and dinner 3 days in a row. That's about average, right? ; )
